Pawanmuktasana or Wind Relieving Pose helps relieve abdominal gas and improve digestive disorders. It also help tone the abdomen and lower back muscles.
How to do this Asana?
Lie down on your back keeping your feet straight and your hands beside your thighs. Relax in this position and do not tighten your body.
Breathe in and raise both your legs forming a 90 degree angle from the floor.
While breathing out, bend your knees and bring it towards your chest and gently press the abdomen with your thighs and clasp your hands around the legs, hugging your knees.
Inhale and lift your head from the floor and bring your head up to your knees. Make sure to tighten your grip when you breathe in and loosen it when you breathe out. Breathe normally and stay in this pose for five to ten breaths. Slowly release both the legs and lie in shavasana for few minutes before getting up.
