Dadimandi refers to pomegranate and Gritham means ghee (clarified butter) in Sanskrit. Dadimandi Gritham is essentially a type of ghee which has medicinal properties. It is a wholesome ayurvedic product which is beneficial for your health. Being an organic product it has no side effects. The main ingredient ofDadimandi Gritham is pomegranates. Pomegranates are known to have various health benefits, specially related withheart and haemoglobin. Dadimadi Ghrita contains Dadima – Pomegranate, Dhanya – Coriander, Chitraka – Plumbago Zeylanica, Shringavera – Ginger, Pippali – Long Pepper, Ghrita – Ghee and water. All these are mixed and boiled till ghee-like consistency is achieved. Dadimandi Gritham is predominantly famous for its consumption during pregnancy. It is nourishing for women who are expecting. It is known to be helpful in normal and easy delivery. Another use is the treatment of infertility in women. It is used in pre-preparatory stage of various ayurvedic procedures like the Panchakarma (a detoxifying process) and Snehakarma.Panchakarma purifies the body of all its toxins and chemicals while Snehakarma is used to treat heart diseases, anaemia, piles, spleen diseases, cough and asthma. Its other medicinal benefits are- treatment of Cardiac disorders, Anaemia, initial stages of liver disorders, Haemorrhoids, abdominal tumour, distension related disorders, asthma, respiratory disorders involving difficulty in breathing, cold, cough and improves digestion strength. It is helpful in general for the Vayu related problems of the body.This product is a healthy choice for both men and women.It also helps balance thethree doshas of the body- Vata, Pitta and Kapha. This should preferably be administered before a meal, once or twice a day. Take a quarter-half spoon with warm water or as instructed by an ayurvedic doctor. For the two ayurvedic procedures the quantity depends upon the extent of the disease i.e. the requirement is subjective. The Ayurvedic practitioners use their own discretion.
